Some words about the concept

The Sommerrundgang is supposed to be an interactive event of highly spontaneous and experimental, ephemeral collaboration between the students of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and artists, musicians, writers and all kinds of other autodidacts.
So it should be seen as an attempt to create an experimental collaborative atmosphere, focusing on the process of collaborative creation rather than the presentation of sealed finished products. To carry on the original idea of the Rundgang, which was invented after World War II in the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf as an internal possibility to show and discuss ongoing ideas, works in progress and concepts among the students.
We want to provide space and time for failures, misunderstandings, quarrels and lucky losers.

The Sommerrundgang 2010 will take place after the official diploma shows around June in the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Exact dates will be determined soon.
